Polar Wrap heat exchanger?

Are these things really worth the money? I have looked at these things for the last 2 years and was wondering if anyone has heard anything about them.

I believe its a face mask with a hose that is routed through your clothing then to outside air for an intake. Its purpose is to warm the air before you breath it.

I wouldn't like to wear anything like that but I can see folks with respiratory alignments using one.

I got one for half price at Midwest Mountaineering last year. If it hadn't been on sale, I doubt I would have bought it. (I think full price was around $60) I like it if I'm not moving around too much, but if you're working and breating hard at all it's not very comfortable.

It does what they say it will do pretty well.

There are copper coils in it that are warmed when you exhale, and then the coils heat the incoming air.

So are these things better for stationary activities? Too bad they don't have a heat exchanger for feet. Thanks for the info/tips guys.
