The rut has started.

I have a trail camera set-up on our hunting property in northern WI. When I went to get the film on Tuesday the woods looked like normal, but when I went back on Friday, holy-cow! There were seven scrapes on the ground in a four hundred yard strech of trail. The pictures off of the camera, really tell the story. There is a picture of a big 9 pointer, who is swollen up big time. Even the little bucks, are starting to show. So for all of the bow hunters, primetime is on us. Let's have some fun.

I too hunt in semi northern WI.. and found an area with 4 scrapes and about 20 rubs in a a 50' by 50 foot area... I agree.. lets have some fun!

I hunt in central MN, the scrapes have gotten a lot more frequent in the last few days. I also saw a fresh rub & watched a small buck work a licking branch on Friday night. He was hyper (horny) & chased after a doe & two fawns.
