How have you dealt with waste water from washing dishes, hands, etc. I was thinking of just taking a 5-gal bucket, drilling about a 1/4" hole in the bottom and line bottom with newspapers to create a "mini septic system". Any thoughts??

Depending on where you are camping most camp grounds have a sewer you can dump this in or just take it to the bathroom and pour it down the sink. As long as it is only your grey water.

In the BWCA, we have 2 cook kits. We use (2) 5 quart (I think its 5 quarts) pots to wash dishes, one with a LITTLE soap, the other rinse. Just dump on the ground at least 50 feet from the lake. You don't need a lot of soap.
