Bulb keeps going soft?

I have a 97 Force 75 that dies on me every so often,maybee three times a day.I noticed that the bulb is soft when this happens.All I have to do is pump up the bulb and the motor runs fine again.The motor runs just like brand new the rest of the time.Any one have any idea what could be causeing this.It is not the vent on the tank,I checked it,and there is no kink in the fuel line nor can I find a hole in the line.

You might have to replace the bulb, sometimes they will not seal correctly internally and let pressure go back.
Also it could be the connector to motor, I have a Mariner 30hp and if I don't leave the connector in a particular position, it will do same as yours.
I am just too lazy to replace it so I strapped it in position. No more problems...D)

Hey fishhead, I had the same problem. Cured it by changing the connector from the fuel line to the motor. Seems it was old and just didn't seal right anymore.

Thanx guys I'll try that.It doesn't really bother me to pump up the bulb once and a while but it would be wise to have things working properly and not let things get out of hand where you get stuck out on the water.

Be careful with that Viagra in the fuel though. You'll never get the motor to idle down again.

DO NOT add Viagra to your leeches. They won't have the curvy wiggle anymore and you'll end up fishing with a black stick for bait........

Man, this fishing stuff is getting too carried away. Now everytime I get in the boat I got Electronics which include Fishfinder unit, GPS unit, Cell phone, maybe a 2 way radio....I walk like a cop with all that stuff hanging from pants. Plus I have at least 2 or 3 tackle boxes, rods, lifejackets, batteries, nets, maps, bait, etc.....I don't need a 18' boat, I need an aircraft carrier.

Now you guys tell me I have to bring the med kit to help my bait ?

By the way is there any medicine that helps revive minnows ??? I tried mouth to mouth but it doesn't work (they try to stick tongue in also... )....If I have to carry all these drugs as might as well find something for the poor minnows.....
