I have 2 Black Males Avaliable right now. These dogs have excellent temperments and are excellent hunters. Both parents are from Dennis Anderson's kennels and pups will not come with papers due to "limited breeding". If you are looking for a calm house dog that is intense in the field give me a call or email. $475 each
All shots and dewormer have been taken care of. [email protected] or 763-241-7287

What does "limited breeding" mean? Can you describe some of this breeds strengths and weaknesses compared to more common labs?

Limited breeding means that you cannot register the dogs offspring. On my dog's papers along with the Male's papers there is a notation stating that the dog's offspring cannot be registered. We bred the dogs because my buddies wanted good dogs, but didn't want to pay the high price.
British labs tend to be a bit smaller 70-75lbs. They have a very calm temperment. They make great house dogs. Their game finding ability and athleticism is outstanding. Because of their temperment shock collars are not reccomended. They also don't bark much which is nice.

I am just wondering what the price on a UKC registered British Lab would be. I have heard great things about British labs, but I have never had the oportunity to hunt with a full bred one. My 8-month old lab has traces of British labs in its geneology and seems to have the size and build of a British lab, but definitely not the calm temperment, yet anyway. Are the pups still left?

I bought my dog from britishlabradors.com and paid $895 Currently they are selling for $1250.00 and there is sometimes a long wait. Again these dogs are very calm in the house and intense in the field. Hunting behind them is awsome and I get many compliments about my dog. I am not a pro trainer by any means, but because of these dogs temperment they are very easy to train. They have a very strong instinct to retrieve and please. They are not hard headed or hyper.
Check out the HSOforum I mentioned before.

Hill-
Would it be possible to come and see your adult dogs to see how they work? I am interested in trying something new. How are these dogs in cold water with even colder air?

I had my dog out 2nd to last day of the season on the mississippi it was cold and snowy. She did fine. I did have to provide a dry place for her to sit because her feet got really cold sitting in the water but I think that would happen to most dogs. It was cold!!! We got a lot of shooting in though.

They are awsome with kids! Because they are so calm kids aren't as intimidated by them. There size 70-75lbs is also a good size for kids. Of course you need to teach the pup good manners (no jumping and the basic commands)
I have a daycare kittycorner from my house and the kids come over and play with Cali and the pups almost everyday.
he is 55 days old.
