Tach Lead off Johnson Control

I've got a 78 Johnson 60 with matching control. In my owners manual, it says there's a pulse lead for a tach in the control case but I cant seem to find it. Any help?

Its usually the purple wire with a female bullet connector end on it.

I think it's the Gray wire, otherwise you can run one from lead on your rectifier on top of motor.

I agree with Valv; the purple lead is switched power (12 volts when the key is turned on)
