Jughead
Hi guys,I have never been on a fly in to Canada and this was to be the first year (a group of 4 had been going to saddle lake for years). We were going to tent it for 4 days 3 nights.Anyway, the saddle lake dates do not work and now we are looking for a similar deal for four people, for the dates of June 24-28th. We would like to be able to tent it or maybe have a cabin; obviosuly boats and the like provided. Our trip was going to be $400-$500/person so something similar would be great. We are looking at Wilderness North and Wildewood Fly-in outposts. Can anyone else share a great place for some solitude and great fishing? I would be willing to pay more if needed, but the dates cannot really change.Thank you kindly. If you would like, feel free to email me direct at [email protected].Mark
Animal
What I would do is search the net for flyin services - then call and ask them what they could do for you. Try Rusty Meyers, Fort Francis - Knobby's, Souix Lookout - Northwest Flyins, Nestor Falls. You might want to call Larry Adams with L&S Outfitters he used to do some of the tenting stuff. I know a group of guys that fly in to Shingwak Lake and tent it. It is in the Nestor Falls area just off Crow Lake. I don't know who they use for the flyin service. Hope this was helpful, EH! Eastwind
Northwest Flying Service has boats cached on some lakes out of Nestor Falls. I spoke with him last year about day trip flyins. He probably has some lakes that you can camp on also. If you cannot find the phone number, look up the number for the Nestor Falls Hotel. The same family that owns the hotel runs the flying service. Good luck.
BRUNO
We usually fish Lake Savant. I t is a great lake. I would call Sam or Marty at West Caribou Air in Savant Lake. 807-584-2499. They service a lot of camps and may well have a spot or 2 of their own. Tell them Jay Hasset said to call.

Kingfisher
Jughead, As has already been mentioned, I would contact one of the above mentioned Air Services. Its been a few years since I have flown out with Northwest Flying Service at Nestor Falls. At that time they had lakes with their boats cached, you could tent or rent a cabin. If you search Nestor Falls, you will find their tel. number. Hope this helps, and have an enjoyable time in a beautiful part of the world.
