looking for perch/crappies

i'll be heading to canada last week in july for some much needed fishing i'll be walleye fishing for the most part but would like to fish for some jumbos and crappies for a day or two. will be staying on pipestone point on the north side of LOW Any help? thanks snowking pipestone is in andew bay

Crappies, I'm not sure on...perch, while ice fishing last winter, I caught numerous (unlimited) amounts of nice jumbos right by Coney Island near Kenora. I'm not exactly sure where Pipestone is, but you shouldn't have a problem finding the perch. Crappies are found in Miles Bay, and around Nestor Falls, that would be a hike for you if you are around north side of low. Good luck.

Check out "Pine" Lake in Nestor Falls. When you get to Nestor Falls where the falls come into lake of the woods, the lake the water (falls) are coming out of is Pine. This is a quality crappie lake. On the North side of the outlet is a place called Arrowhead resort which may have boats for rent. We stayed there a few years ago and did well on Crappies. Best of Luck.
