toddb
Where will you be staying? We stay at Merkels on the east side and fish primarily for muskies. When we fish walleyes we usually fish Butler, Larson and Paulsen which are connected. We usually fish jig and minnows, some cranks. The eaters are usually pretty easy to come by, but if you want a hawg stay on Wabigoon. Fish will be on shallow rocky shoreline points and should be starting on the mid-lake reefs. Don't fish too deep though, sometimes the fish will be right next to shore in very shallow water.later, toddb[This message has been edited by toddb (edited 03-12-2003).]
Hemlock
Fished Wabigoon a fair bit last fall and did well. Just drifted and jigged my way off of a point. Jig and a minnow, pretty standard walleye fishing tactics. ------------------Hemlock"Throw'm back"
Tonka Boy
Anyone ever fished Wabigoon Lake? I'm heading up there for the first time in mid-June. Just wondering what presentations work best for walleyes. Thanks!
Tonka Boy
Thanks guys. I figured the old jig and minnow would be the ticket. I will be staying at Merkel's also.
