Which Scope

I am looking for a cheap scope for a back-up gun. The gun is a Savage 110 30.06 bolt action. It has under sights on it and a Tasco scope. The scope gives me issues it has the half moon blacked out when i look through it so you have to adjust your head back and forth to get the hole picture in your sights. I have tried to adjust it in its mounts to no avail. So i am replacing it. Looking for a cheap scope to put on this gun. under $100 bucks. So i need a recommendation of what to buy. There are alot of choices

If your looking for a cheap scope Id stay with the tasco. Personally if I am not going to spend the money for a good scope and a acheap scope is what Im looking for, I would not look to spend more than 30-40 dollars cause in my opinion anything more than that is not worth the money as I believe all cheap scopes perform relatively the same. I know simmons makes an off brand called blaser or something of that sort, they are a good cheap scope.

Thanks. I just have never had any luck with tasco's. I will look into that off brand. What do you think of thhose BSA I see around?

The BSA scopes are ok.

If you can get to a Cabelas store, go check out the bargain cave. A couple years ago, I picked up a re-furbished Luepold Vari X II for under two hundred bucks. Very nice scope. Thew will probably have other less expensive units there also.

Dwag, when I was 16 (21 years ago), I bought a Bushnell Banner scope. I replaced it last year but it still works fine. I don't recall any problems with it and I believe they cost less than $100. For the majority of hunting situations or hunters a less expensive scope does everything an expensive scope will do. Take care of it, don't bring it from 20 degrees outside to 70 inside, etc...

I personally would go with Bushnell and BSA is a close 2nd. My father-in-law has a 30-30 Marlin that came with a 3x9x32 Tasco and it sucked. I bought him a BSA at Walmart for $50 3yrs ago and he loves it.

Thanks for alll the advice. With the help from every one i have been able to narrow the choices. By the way has any one ever bought a used scope on hsolist before. I see alot of simmons scopes on there CHEAP ???
