Big Rack Big Deer

Hey Guys, Came back from hunting the orr area for seven days, Pull in sat morning 12:30 Am Three Deer in my yard. My son will hunt next Sat, so I walk out to the stand Today to make sure its safe for him and what do I see, I jump at least a 10 Pointer, It stops and looks at me for about a minute, not moving I think Wow. Its a beauty, do I sit in the stand with him with the camera should I put out scent, to keep him in my area how about a mock scrape. I have scented past years 1 week before we hunt our season and two guys shot two eight pointers on Thanksgiving day By 8:AM. What do you think about sitting in the stand before the opener with my camera,it would great to get a picture. but would I move him out of the area, I do have six acres of corn up so Im sure hes visiting the Does feeding, and will he be here next week. If the kid gets a shot I know those knocking knees will scare it away. Any ideas?

I'd use the camera when the youngster is holding up the rack. Why take a chance on spooking it out of the area. Good Luck!!

Maybe you could get in the box and hide in there so he doesn't see you when he comes by next time. Are you going up again this weekend?

Not going back going to stay and help Darren if he gets a shot at that deer. Looks like a good snow storm is coming , I found that bucks Rub on a good size tree. Bob
