Geigers resort on bowstring

i deer hunt inthe general area of another group that stays at Geigers. he said it sounds like the resort is closing for the winter after deer hunting and wont be plowing any roads on the lake.

 

he also made the comment she is wanting to turn into some sort of bread and breakfast place??? anyone else hear anything about this???

Forecast looks good for making ice, minimal precipitation but fairly windy. Lots of little lakes locked up the last few days

I just heard they weren’t going to rent any fish houses this year.  Plowing, or at least lake access seemed to still be on the table.

 

Last year was brutal for lake access and enough to make anyone think twice about how much they dealt with vs the money made.  I wouldn’t blame them if they did close or dial back a lot.  There wasn’t much traffic on that lake compared to Winnie last year.
