Guest
Hi USAOne of the joys of this forum biz is that I can pass on to you, the good citizens of the US of A, hot tips as they hit the press here. Secrets that ordinarily I would hide from fellow carping competitors as if it were a Swiss bank account full of illegal gold bullion I can impart to you with gusto and impunity since, hey lets face it guys, you ain't turning up on any of my fishing spots ( not that you'd want to, the way they've been fishing lately.....) Anyway, this week's hot tip for having the little devils crawling up your rods singing songs of praise to your fishing skills as they go, comes from one of our weekly publications imaginatively called 'Anglers Mail'. It seems some clever devil doing a water management course at one of our august colleges had the brainwave of constructing a rubber carp's head that would suck and blow just like the real thing ( stop that giggling at the back ! )to see how effectively they were being hooked by different set ups. Hours he toiled into the long night perfecting this aparatus, suffering the derision of fellow students as he became a virtual recluse in his dimly lit laboratory. However eventually came the day that he launched his product on an unsuspecting world, which duly rocked back on its collective heels and whistled. Seeing this response, the fellow had that inevitable thought " I wonder if I could sell this?" and in due time a manufacturer, after what one suspects must have been a heavy and somewhat liquid lunch, signed him up on the dotted line. So there you have it. Shortly tackle dealers the length and breadth of this land will be stocking rubber carp heads that will 'blow and suck just like the real thing!' ( what did I tell you at the back - get out right now you filthy minded children! ) Fishing widows everywhere will be stood shaking their heads in wonder, watching their spouse try out his latest hook set ups on this gizmo in the kitchen sink. Now I can see the look on your faces from here and I want you to stop it RIGHT NOW!!Will I buy one? Well what do you think? I'll let you know if it works CheersSteve ps I swear on my mother's grave that this is true - it will be called Artyfish and has been patented. Any weird inventions you know of that did ( or didn't ) work please share. Lunker
Wow. I don't know if a sick or creative mind came up with that. Please, if possible, post a picture of this artfish, I'd like to see it.

Aquaman01
Next time I come up with an idea that I consider "marginal" I'm gonna remember that carphead and the fact that it's on the market. That should provide me with the encouragement my wife tells my kids not to give me when I get these "marginal" ideas! ------------------Aquaman<')}}}}}><{Peace and Fishes
