rodbuilder
Hey guys, I am a STURGEON VIRGIN. I have my first sturgeon trip coming up in about a week. Are there any hints and tips you can give in regards to finding these beasts? I have heard to travel the river channel and locate holes. When a significant one is found, move up river and cast the bait back into the hole. Is this accurate? Also, how long should one sit on a spot before we pull anchor and find another hole? Thanks for ALL the help!
CANOPY SAM
RB,My experience with the Rainy and it's sturgeon parallels the advice you were given earlier. Fish with big gobs of fresh crawlers on heavy equiptment. Stay in each hole for a while. These guys don't chase baits with any urgency.I'm probably telling you this after you've returned from your trip. Let me know how it went.Sam
