monstermoose78
The snow is likely to mess up the lakes that have about 4 inches of ice. I like to have 5 inches to ice fish on. There are some small shallow lakes near the metro area that have 3-4 inches of ice. Please use caution as the geese had spots open and they will extremely thin. The snow will make them even more dangerous, because you will not be able to see where the the open spots were. The larger lakes had open water or just a skim of ice and the snow will not affect them as much. If you are going to go ice fish at this time please bring all the safety gear and go with a buddy or 2. Good Luck and be safe
