Rick Johnson
I really look forward to using the new Genz legacy series rods. I have several panfish rods of course but the only one I really fish with is a Thorne rod, I like the consistency of fishig with the same rod. The quality and action of the legacy series looks to be perfect for what I do and with the low cost I can have several with the same action in my arsenal. I used a flx28 last season enough to know its an amazing unit but with owning two 18"s a 20 and a 22 its hard to justify spending the money, maybe if I could break one of my other Vexilar's-- thats tough to do, oh I still have a working Si-tex too

PurpleFloyd1529315463
I am looking at moving my primary sonar- a Lowrance 67c to backup mode and trading my backup, a Showdown 5.6 Dual beam in for a Lowrance elite 5 ice fishing machine or a Hummingbird 597. I like the graph mode much better than the round flasher dials.

S. Thompson
Just added a another new piece of on ice gear. While I'm excited to try out the new FL-X28, I just picked up the Clam Auger Conversion kit. I had a trip last winter where we could not get the Strikemaster to stay running. It was a ruined trip because I no longer owned a hand-auger. Picked up the Clam Auger Conversion kit as a backup for this year, however I'm thinking this will be more than just an early ice tool. The light weight is going to make punching a lot of holes a lot less tiring. May have to pickup a third battery for the drill.
Savage Brewer
My list of new stuff to play with is getting too long to list. I can tell you one thing I hope to never need to use and that is them ice picks. I did pick up a set of kahtoola Micro Spikes, those have to be some of the nicest boot spikes I have ever seen.
