muskie hunter
I'm in the market for a heater and I like the little buddy and its small size to fit in my new clam legend for storage, and transport but I'm wondering can you wall mount it like the buddy heater any ideas, or examples of your own traps with wall mounted heaters would be appreaciated thamks. Brad B
watch Dave Genz video on modifying your trap: I think he was asking about the little buddy heater that hooks into the base similar to a lantern and runs on the 1 pound bottles. I guess it might be possible to hook that base to the bottom of the sled some how but personally I don't know if I would trust the propane tank to stay in the base/holder when you are pulling the sled across the ice. that heater is small enough that you could leave it off the tank and just carefully set it in the sled and then hook it up once you got to the spot you want to fish. I really can't think of a good way to mount one of those heaters.

Lawrence Luoma
I use the standard Buddy heater and mount it like Genz does. But your question is about the Little Buddy. The other thing I did was put a black plastic PVC pipe connector(actually not sure that is what it truely is)to hold a extra propane bottle secure. The little tabs inside of it hold it nice and snug. I connect it with one screw to the inside of the trap. I would imagine it would work awesome of the little buddy if you remove the base but keep the propane bottle attached. I'll try and get a pic of it later today.

muskie hunter
Where did you get the holder Lawrence?
magicstix
Big M or HD. I was thinking of trying this same thing, I just hadn't made it to the store yet. Thanks Lawrence now I know it does work.
Lawrence Luoma
I think I found it at a hardware store or something like that. Once you get it and if you don't find it tight enough just add some foam to it.

JuanArellano
The way Dave months his into the tub, is to take thin pice of alum. Bend it a 90 deg. On both sided as to keep the heater from moving around. Then take a drill and drill holes into the top of the sled and new bracket you made and pop rivit into place and you have a heater mounted in you sled.
