Sled for Hard Water- Help

Recommended Posts

Okay so I see the videos of the guys with sleds that hold the auger, the house, and have a GPS,VEX on the dash. Does anyone have a recommendation on what brand sled has the best options of for the ice-angler to build a hot-hard-water-sled?

Having lived in Arizona the last ten years not very up on the Snow-machine side of things.

Any advice or guidance is appreciated.

thank you,

ao

Where do you plan on fishing? I would recommend a crossfire. I had an 800 crossfire and it has enough room on the dash for a hds-7 and a vexilar, you can also mount the auger on the back rack and pull your house at the same time. It is nice because you have a long track but you also have enough power to do anything you want.

2-up, long-track, Arctic Cat... The new Arctic's with their Speed-Rack system are incredible. Even the T660's if you can find a used one, are great options.

Bearcats are VERY nice. I run a Panther 550, and have some additions on it. Works fine...

Thanks Guys. I will look at both of them. My primary purpose is to be able to haul the Nanook out with my two kids onto the lake with all the gear (theirs and mine).

Also, it would be nice to go fish in a way I could cover lots of ground and drill more holes etc. You really only can do so much on foot etc.

thanks google on both of them right now!

Exactly what Matt said. I ran an AC Pantera last winter and it worked well. I got a new Bearcat this winter and got to take it on it's maiden voyage last weekend on Mille Lacs during the NAIFC Championships. I can't say enough about how well thsi sled works for ice fishing!

Keeping it PG-13. DARN!

That is the one. Thanks for sharing Rod. I could easily get my two monkey's on that. Sweet set up. Now I need to work on the wife. Rod is it cool if I email you about the specifics - don't want to bug you too much, but need to get the Mrs's in the right frame of mind depending on the sticker shock.

thank you ao
