Which Spring bobbers do you prefer?

ive been dealing with this issue for couple of years being new to ice fishing. i started by buying the "add on" spring bobbers off store shelves. they did not stay in eyelet for me and when they did they r only good for outside on a warm day or inside, the tighy wound spring coils ice up very easily and kill the action of the spring and a major PITA if your line somehow get wound around the outside of the spring.

then i was introduced to JM springbobber rods on this site. loved em for a season and a half but had 4 issues for me. 1. tip breaks very easily (but on a side note they do a great job with honoring their 1 year warranty cause i now have 3 of em)2. cannot use em outside with any breeze cause the wire is so light will give u false readings all day. 3. the wire can bend out of whack & is a PITA when no longer "in line" 4. if your line ever gets wrapped around the wire that too is a major PITA

for this season i am trying my very first TB power noodle and hope it answers all of my above problems.

.....if anyone wants to try out a used JM spring bobber, i may have a deal or 2 available

I have used many types of spring material and I believe one of the most important things is to have a good perception of the movement and that is easiest when you can see the bobb in a horizontal position I bend my bobb to the left 90 degrees (i am right handed) and I can then see the most slight movement, often I will use my boot as a backdrop object and color. with this concept nearly any spring bobb will be effective, my fav. bobb would be the snyder bobb made in Michigan by snider tackle, prolly to light for anything other than panfish...

This is the only way to go for a spring bobber, especially for outside on the ice pan fishing!! With 4 different weight wire compounds you can fit these to any size fish your looking for. You can clamp on and go or do like i did, j.b weld them on and slip them in a rod sleeve and im all setup for different style fishing. they dont freeze up outside thats the beauty of it. if your interested in them email me at [email protected]
