EsoxCop
Just got back from SD from weekend trip. We caught some nice 11-14 inch crappies on Pickerel Lake in 12 feet of water using waxworms on a light ice jig. We went out about 200 yards from NW access.Fished Enemy Swim also. We got some nice gills including 1-10 incher on north side of Sheppards Point bay area. Also got 3 walleyes over 20 inches off of Sheppards Point.Didn't get out on Bitter due to high winds, but talked to group of guys that did well on Pike out there in very shallow water on NW side. Mike Walerak
What is the ice like up there? Is there plenty of fishable, open water near the inlets? I was thinking of heading up that direction this weekend. Maybe shore fishing, maybe ice fishing who knows we'll have to see what the lakes look like after this week of high temps.mw
sloughshark
Bagged some sloughsharks on bitter last saturday and again on sunday. Fished the grade on the west side saturday and or group iced roughly 30 sharkies, the biggest was about 12 pounds. sunday fished nw corner and bagged about 15-20 sharkies not much size over there though. Banged the everloving [PoorWordUsage] out of the walleyes saturday evening on waubay. The wind was brutal. The bay of pigs once again coughed up a nice 26 inch waldo! ice was getting crappy. It was fairly soft, about 16 inches or so was all that was left..
