Just for you Puck people --If you wish to see the "Grail of Hockey" come to Bird Island on July 23 to the Broaster from 1-3 Pm. (STANLEY CUP)

Bird Island is a small town of 1300 people so it will be easy to find.

Yet they can boast that  2 of their former population have CHAMPION SHIP RINGS (World Series)-JIM KAHMAN and JASON (Guber) SERBUS (Stanley cup)

 

Neither were as athletes, both as trainers,  and I'm very proud to say I know both and to have guided them to a small degree into the profession they choose.

Come out to see the CUP in a small town.  Only 1 stop light on 212 and it is 1/2 block to the West on the south side.

This maybe A 1 time in your life chance. (90 miles west of Twin cities)

Hey if you have never had the pleasure of drinking out of the Cup I suggest you take a trip over and do it!!  I remember the night my bother's good friend Dan Hinote brought the Cup to Elk River and we had a great time drinking out of it at the local bar.  I am not even a hockey fan but I knew the opportunity was rare so I spent the evening having a good time pouring beers on people from the Cup like they won!!!!  Very odd watching people walk up to the Cup to drink out of it and many looking like they are walking up to drink wine at church!!  Good Times and thanks for mentioning this and bringing back good memories!!
