MapSD
We don't hear from the Aberdeen area. Is there any ice fishing going on up there?[This message has been edited by MapnSD (edited 02-07-2003).]

aquafang
Heading to richmond in the morning. Hope to catch some nice gills and some crappies. Have had good luck there this year. It's been slowing down lately.
MapSD
Would like to hear how you did aquafang.Have heard there are a few springs in the lake, if so are they marked in anyway?
jigmeister
Richmond has been a good producer of nice gills and crappies this winter although it has slowed some recently. Mina has a large population of 8-10" crappies but very few people are fishing there. You would be hard pressed to find 10 people on the lake on any weekend. Most anglers from this area head east to Waubay, West to Lake Oahe or into North Dakota to any number of perch and pike hotspots less than a hundred miles from Aberdeen. ------------------ <>Go Fish<>

aquafang
Has anyone heard how those fishing Mina are doing? I know there are a good number of crapppies in the lake, but never hear of any being caught through the ice. Where is a good place to go on Mina for crappie? The Ice is pretty good at Richmond but yes, there is thin ice and open water in spots. I usually walk on so I don't know exactly where to tell you to drive. Sorry. But be careful. My guess is that most are getting on at bieglers landing on the east shore
