How's fishing in the Webster area?

Recommended Posts

The time to head to Webster and surrounding waters nears.

Any news on the recent bite? I assume that cooler temps over the last week have affected things in some fashion, but, I don't know how.

Looking forward to being on the water after too long an absence.

It's not often that I can answer my own topic, but here it is.

We fished two lakes over the long weekend. Lynn Lake is producing crappies in 8'-12' feet of water. Slip bobber, hook, split shot, minnow. Pretty simple. Fish averaged between 10"-11". Also picked up some random walleyes, but nothing over the 16" minimum.

Enemy Swim Lake was good for bluegills in 8'-14' of water. Slip bobber, 1/16-1/64 oz jigs, tipped with a small piece of nightcrawler. Fish averaged between 8"-9". Also caught a few bass (large mouth/smallies)fishing shoreline cover.

There are so many good lakes in this region to fish...can't believe the amount of water.
