The Osprey Cam at the Arboretum

The osprey chic on the web cam at the Landscape Arboretum in Chaska is getting ready to fledge.  Another beautiful, successful raptor fledging here on the TC nest cams.   3 eaglets, 2 falcons and now an osprey.

Surprising they haven't fledged.  Here on Vermilion all the eagle young have fledged.   No osprey nests that can be seen, since the one fell down a few years ago.   But several eagle nests and they are all empty.

The three eaglets fledged quite a while back.  The falcons about a month or so ago and now as of Friday the osprey chick has fledged as of Friday morning,  although it comes back to the nest regularly now to feed and get fed. 

It is quite interesting how the various raptors fledge out at different times.
