grouse drumming survey

anybody know when the dnr does this? I think it is in the spring some time. Sure would be nice to see the pop. go way up.

Should be starting shortly. I don't rely on the drumming counts up here. I think there really not that true of a indicater of the population. I saw quite a few grouse this winter and we had plenty of snow for the them burrow away from hawks and owls. Should be a few more around this fall.
