setterguy
I have been keeping an eye on it, I wish I was there.... One of the things on my "before I die" list. Too bad the setters aren't putting up a better showing.
gspman
Hey Bird-doggers,Been boring on the board lately. Any one paying attention to the Super Bowl of Field Trials for pointing dogs? They're on Day 2 of the National at Ames Plantation in Tennessee. Go to http://www.amesplantation.org to check out the synopsis on the braces. Two or three dogs have already laid down some good runs. There are 5 setters entered this year. So far 2 have run and both were picked up before finishing. I want a setter to win it all. I'm rooting for Tekoa Mountain Patriot. If there is a God, one day I'll get to saddle up a Tennessee Walker and ride the National. God, it'd be cool.I'm out.gspman
gspman
Correction. They're on day 4. Alamance Little Rock (3rd setter of 5) is running today.
gspman
Setterguy,All is not lost yet. Alamance Little Rock put down a good one (6 finds, forward race) and there's 2 more to go. I think a couple of pointers that have already run are going to be hard to beat though.gspman
