Driftless
The two days prior to opener will be the coldest days of the winter so far. That may have a lock jaw effect on the trout.Don't hit the water before 10am and pick a short stretch to fish. NEW YEAR’S EVE (THURSDAY):Variably cloudy and seasonably cold.Low: 14High: 25NEW YEAR’S DAY (FRIDAY):Partly sunny and cold.Low: 7High: 22SATURDAY:Variably cloudy, breezy and seasonably cold.Low: 10High: 27SUNDAY:Mostly sunny and a little milder.Low: 16High: 35Scout the day before around 10am to see what time the shell ice comes off. Target slow deep water with a feed funnel near to it. Think about where there are springs upstream of your target area. Sunday afternoon looks better then Saturday.Remember big, deep and slow.
