Hunted carlos for the first time yesterday, but only for about an hour, and didnt see a thing. Has anyone hunted there and if so is it worth a few tries?

You may as well hunt the Metrodome--it gets the same amount of traffic every day as Carlos Avery!

I used to do fairly well at Carlos for ducks and geese. I didnt hunt where the masses go.

I used to launch on the north-most lake. I never saw more than 4 or 5 other vehicles at that launch, and there was more than enough room for a lot more hunters. Get there early and do a little rowing/paddling and find an ideal spot.

Most northern birds are not down yet, the hunting will greatly improve when they show up.

Its all good, I hunt ducks , pheasant, grouse, rabbit, I'd be up for anything right about now. Just wondering what the low down on carlos is, but by the sounds of it unless im goin for ducks ill avoid it
