leechlake
I eventually will have a question regarding pork blade steaks which you guys have turned me on to lately. I think it may turn into a Ginger or Mary Ann question. As I ponder all of this heavy stuff Thanksgiving morning, I believe I will take a shot at some of the "regulars" answers regarding Ginger or Mary Ann. Excuse me if I don't post everyone, I have major things to do today. So...Ginger or Mary Ann? What I think your answer may be: 1. Boar- "why not both?" (I like that answer) 2. Smurfy- he'd just comment on Boar's answer and give him some grief. 3. RH1- Tough call on this one. He'd say neither or he'd say "Mary Ann since Ginger wouldn't like the Jayco", or he'd say "which ever likes sausage better" 4. Eyeguy- "depends on which one thinks poking is good or bad" 5. Reb- "Mary Ann...she seems like she'd like soup on a cold day" 6 . Delcecci-":I will let them choose...but whichever one prefers my banana cream pie the best." Also, "I'm not driving all the way across town for either one of them" (reference to Reb telling him about a meat deal and Del saying he isn't driving that far to save a buck or two) 7. Bobby Bass- probably a long response but an interesting read that involves a chocolate lab stealing whichever he chooses "unmentionables" and something about taking her in a ride in the "Puddle Humper". I apologize for leaving any regular out of this, my attention span fires fast but dies quickly Happy Thanksgiving. Ooops. I almost forgot my original point. I've been eating the thick blade steaks. I read somewhere that eyeguy preferred the thin ones. I bought blades last night and accidently bought two thin ones instead of one thick one. For me the thick one is better. Other's thoughts? eyeguy 54
I just buy them whatever thickness they are in the 6 paks. Never tried one more than 3/4 inch thick but I bet it would be as good as Mary Ann. Met her one time and had a fun talk. lemon pepper and cajon powder and on the grill. I think any thickness would be just dandy. Happy Thanksgiving back at ya and also to the recipe and cooking sharing thread sharers
LindellProStaf
I would say Ginger is the ribeye and Mary Ann is the blade steak. Sometimes going top shelf and expensive is a treat and sometimes the girl next door is a more attractive option. I wouldn't throw either one out of the kitchen. bobberineyes
bobberineyes
I'll give Mary Ann taking a thick cut blade coated with a little bbq sauce cooked over wood, she paints a good picture but probably could be real naughty! !!!

Oh and LL your spot on man, Since I was about to hit the "submit" button and realized I forgot to ask the pork blade question that was supposed to be the subject I will forgive my Cooking Cousins for losing focus, I surely did . Also, how come Mrs Howell never gets a chance? Age discrimination I say... Edited November 26, 2015 by leechlake
RebelSS
Right on, leech!!!! That's absolutely the correct guess! I'd LOVE to feed Mary Ann some soup on a cold day! She could put on her red-checked apron and help me "stir the pot"....and notice I said Just her red-checked apron...
