Surfacetension, sounds like a good load. What hull,powder,amt. of grains and wad are you using? I shoot factory Fiocchi 20 ga. 3 inch Golden phes. nickle 5's, but like to shoot a "hammer load" in my 12 once in a while!

Old Guide, Hulls are Federal are Hi-Power plastic with rolled paper base wad.
1 3/8th shot 1350 fps 4 Dram Equiv.

primer:Fed 209a or CCI209m.
Wad: RP12.
Blue Dot: 39.5 grains.
PSI: 9600

This load patterns well with my setup. Hope you get the same results. I use it for pheasants and have taken 5 Turkey so far with it.
