East metro spearing lakes?

Thanks to Neighbor_guy for pointing out the spearing forum. 

Im new to the metro area. Just moved to St Paul and am looking for a some help finding a lake or two on the east side that are clear enough for a guy to spear some northerns. 

Any help pointing me in the right direction would be appreciated.

I have heard of guys who spear big marine... That's north and east of you. Not sure what else is over there. It might be worth picking up an east metro lakes book. It will have a bunch of lakes, water clarity, and lake survey information that can give you some hints. 

Otherwise there is the Lake Finder feature on the DNR page. 

If you are up for the drive there are several of us here that get together in Harris several times a season for some spearing and general screwing around on a Sunday each month. It's north of you by and hour or so. East Central MDAA supplies the hot dogs.

Big Marine is full of pike lots of little ones but still makes for a good time.  If you ever want to go west I can help you out over there.
