Mr Special
Hello Everyone,Just wondering if anyone has been out around Hovland, like the Arrowhead trail area? Plan on going up to the family cabin in mid Oct for some Grouse action. My uncle said they seem to be more around the cabin this year then the past 3yrs, so I guess that's good news. But would like input form actual hunters. Thanks and good hunting
protrapper
Had a friend who was logging up the Arrowhead. Said he would see birds quite often. Driving and in the woods.
Redlantern
Nope, no birds there, go somewhere else. ------------------Erik
Mr Special
Thanks, Don't worry I'm not a strong bird hunter. But would love some birds for dinner. The best thing about grouse hunting is that I can either wake up later or go bow hunting first. If your up there and see a 1991 Gray/black Suburban Diesel stop and say hi.Good luck everyone
Redlantern
Mr. Special, I won't be there for MEA, I got hooked into a trip to Rugby, North Dakota for duck hunting. Supposed to be fun, but I'm hesitant since I haven't hunted with this group before. I will be heading to the cabin in Hovland again tomorrow night after dinner with a beautiful woman. Had to mention that, it's been a long time for me. If you want to avoid some of the atv crowds, I'd suggest hitting the Superior Hiking Trail or the Border Route Trail. It's a little too narrow to walk two abreast, but nice scenery and low pressure. Good luck.------------------Erik
