Why it's important to keep a spare

Recommended Posts

Nothing puts a quick stop to a good mornings hunt like a blow out. image.thumb.jpeg.c63c2611e7665aca6391838image.thumb.jpeg.f7c02f9bef64e33264e8428

And just for good measure. Since the sidewalk blew out of the tire. When the spare tire went on, even with plenty of air (45psi) it slipped the bead when I put it under the load.

Gdang it anyways. Now I'm sending my hunting partner to town to try and get the spare tire re-beaded so we can at least get the trailer off the side of the road. Can't win today I guess.

I figure it's one of those things I will laugh about at some point.

The shop in town said they should have a new tire in a few hours. They are going to fix the flat on the truck too :-(  That's what welcomed us when we got back to the landing after the fiasco this morning and the no duck-duck hunt.

Ever wish you could just go back to bed???

That stinks. We one blew three tires in a weekend fishing, two due to using old tires, and one due to stupidity (above using old tires...) We learned that weekend that we never leave with a trailer without having a full blown floor jack and a couple 2x6's with. Go loaded for bear :)
