Just did a quick G_oogle search and it looks to range from $499 to $579.  Lowest price was L&M Fleet Supply here.  

I'll take that info to the ice show and see where I can land.

L&M has them for $500 and I used that to price match at Gander Mountain who had a $100 off $500 spent promotion that was going on. I then also was able to talk them into using a Pheasant Forever $10 off coupon. Then low and behold, Strikemaster had a $50 off mail in rebate. So all in all I got mine on the cheap :-)

hmmmm , I just picked up late spring a 10"  eskimo 40 just over 4 hundy, what sold me is im permy man and it dont sling all over, I dont mind the exhaust to much tho, let us know how the exhaust fumes are on that unit. thanks

Sign up for the Gander Mountain emails. They happen every once in a while. Typically they're an online only deal, however I talked a store manager into giving me the discount as well as the price match.

I have the ION but it is an earlier model and doesn't have the reverse. It is a 6" because all of the 8" were sold out when I bought mine. The things I like about it are: Quiet, very light, doesn't sling ice, no smoke, no gas smell in the vehicle. The things I don't like are: slow cutting & if you leave the battery out in the cold it won't run. Need to keep the battery warm. I'd buy one again in a heartbeat!

My buddy is selling his ion last years modle. bought an eskimo like mine. Id post it in the classifieds but cant log in due to cookies or some thing. extra baldes and extension too. Ive always wanted an electric but just cant comit.

riverchuck. just remember that you will not be able to re-open hole with the lazer, with out doing damage to your pitch on the auger flighting. If you plan to re-open holes on a regular bases, I would go with the jiffy, or the Ion.

Pulled the trigger on the 8" Honda for $499 from Joe's at the Blaine Ice show.  They were sold out there but I'll go pick it up this week.  

Now I've got to sell my old 9" Jiffy.  PM me if interested!  Excited to try out the Honda and report back.
