Crow Hunter
Hoping to not start up the argument again, that's been beat to death. But, I noticed on page 65 of the 2015 hunting reg book that people 60 and older can nowuse a magnifying scope on our muzzleloaders, during muzzleloader season. I have A 4x fixed power Leupold on a slug gun I have not been using, think I will mount it on my muzzy.
Scott K
I don't see a problem with that at all! In fact, I think they should allow scopes fro everyone. My opinion is, if you are taking the shot, I would prefer it be accurate, and not gut shot the animal at 100 yards. I have hunted with a scope for many years on my rifle, and shotgun. The scope if anything makes me pull the trigger less, because I can see where the bullet is going to go, rather then just aiming the sites at the deer at 100 yards, and hitting the deer somewhere. When I am looking through a scope, if I cant get the crosshairs in the vitals, I don't pull the trigger. Much more humane way of hunting if you ask me. Sure there may be more deer tagged, and registered, but I think the amount killed will actually drop, mostly because of shot selection, and not just wounding the deer, and not finding it. monstermoose78, MJ1657 and hoppe56307
