RebelSS
Finally got sick of the lousy trigger and set-back on the 9mm LC9, that they are well known for....ordered a new LC9s, the striker fired version. WHOLE world of difference. Short, crisp pull, quick reset. So, if anyone is wondering if there is that much difference, yes, there is, IMO. Still my #1 tuckable gun, along with a .40 S&W Shield. Ufatz
Balderdash! The original is perfect just the way it is. That long trigger pull is a nice safety feature. The pistol is unstoppable. Add the after-market springs to zip things up a bit. Cannot guess number of rounds through couple of them and NEVER a FTF or other hiccup.Another great little pocket pal is the S&W Bodyguard.....ALL the features and a reasonable price. RebelSS
Perfect? Well, you must be one few that ever liked it...you're the only one I've ever heard say that! Whatever works for ya, I guess. They're notorious for that lousy trigger and setback. The striker fired is a much smoother, crisper throw IMO.The double-click is a liability, IMO . (See 1st video) A lot of traded-in LC9's out there right now. Safety feature!? It's actually a liability IMO. But, it depends how well you know your gun, how much you train/ shoot it, and how comfortable you are with it. I and many others do NOT like a long trigger pull and set back. You certainly won't see a comp set-up with one. Not just my opinion on it, check out some gun mags/gunsmith's...and a few words from a well-seasoned pro on that trigger...but like I said, if you're happy with it, whatever works for ya. Ufatz
You are correct-whatever works for me. Ha Ha Ha. I have so many rounds through a couple of them I long ago lost count. I do not deny the new upgraded pistol is nice.....but I'm not sure in means the original is not a worthy little pocket pistol and should just be dumped. I have heard all the discussions regarding the trigger pull etc. clear back to when the pistol arrived on the scene. You WILL find some comments from knowledgeable people who agree with the premise that the long pull is a good SAFETY measure. While it is annoying to many it is not a reason to trash the original model.Besides.....I can't afford trading in pistols every time somebody ADDS a feature. I have a hard enough time scraping up money to buy another crate of 9mm.Have fun. Shoot more.Shout less.
RebelSS
It wasn't a bad gun at all; did everything well, but I have quite a few that I shoot, and I've shot so many for so many years, like anything else, you know what you like. Passion dictates what one purchases. I found myself not even using it anymore, so, thanks to my buddy that owns a gun shop, plus $90, in two days I had the new one. I'm sure he'll find a good home for the old one. My concerns were mostly with the long setback and pull, it affected my accuracy, and using it for a carry gun, utmost accuracy and confidence in it is paramount. A long career in law enforcement made a difference, too. Stay safe and practice, practice, practice. Rack 'em and pack 'em .
Ufatz
Sounds like you got a good deal. Regardless which model you/I have I have been impressed by the dependability of the pistol.....it does what it is supposed to do reliably and at a very reasonable price. I have no qualms about lugging it around. Tried a bunch of those "pretty pistols" and concluded I don't need a pretty gun in my pocket that might have a problem when I can have a plain old dependable tool should I need it.Carry on. Smoke 'em if you got 'em.

Great company with great products.
