Saturday anyone?

I think I am going to head out on Saturday for at least a half day, not sure when/where yet. Anyone want to plan something? I have a young flusher who loves birds, but gets a bit excited sometimes, he'll put the birds up if they are around, it sometimes is just a matter of keeping up with him.

Thanks for the invite, but I'm on the NW side of town and need to be back home around noon-1pm, which means drive time would definitely cut into field time. Good luck to ya this weekend - hope you close the season out with a couple great days!

Has anyone had any luck around the Htuchinson area? Or is it worth the drive from the northern metro to the Goodhue area?

I'm heading down to the Faribault area in the morning to hit as many of the WMA's in the area as I can.

The dog has been going nuts, he knows when I pull the gun out he's going hunting.

Three of us hunted Stevens county on Sat. Got one, saw 7 others. Not real great. Couldn't believe the amount of people that we saw, seemed like more than the opener. Still great to get out on the last weekend of the season, especially the kind of day Sat. was. How'd you other guys do?

Got out but without much luck saw two but no shots. walking a ditch and the dog got real birdy just going nuts....couldn't shake out any bird tho there had been one there at sometime. darned of that old lab didn't retrive a tail feather!

I'm glad I didn't get to reading this til now, There was NO WAY I could get out this weekend, even though I wanted too, with all of you getting out it would have been tempting.
