Pheasants

I have a friend coming here who wants to do some pheasant hunting. I live in Fargo and was wondering where the areas to go would be that are close to here. Thanks in advance.

I will probably be in ND or northern SD. I'm not sure if they are selling anymore non-resident licenses in ND. I really don't have any idea where would be the best to go, so any help would be great.

Im pretty sure the non resident licence are sold out there were not very many left when we got ours and they were going fast.

Just Thought I would add my 2 cents, I would try SD if that would work for you. You really dont have to go that far into SD to find birs, The Aberdeen area is good and really just a short drive. There is a lot of public land and now after the weather turns cold not nearly as many hunters it seems. My wife's family is from the Aberdeen area and we usally make a Thanksgiving trip and do some hunting. YOu have to work hard for these birds they are smart this time of year and a good dog is invaluable. Good luck.

Is it hard to find somewhere to hunt around Aberdeen?

ND only sold out of waterfowl licenses, you can stil buy small game licenses, there is no limit. There are still lots of pheasants in ND along the Missouri river, they had a late harvest... and licenses are cheaper and good for the whole season...
