ok I just broke my rainshadow RX8 xsw62mx which is a custom rod. Here are a couple questions I have.

1.  Does any one use this rod blank to make there own custom rods that they sell? 

2.  What ST. CROIX rod is similar to this rod?

Did it break or did you break it? If the blank failed, go to there page and look at the warranty section. It states that they will determine if it was workmanship, and if so they will replace for free.  I have never used rainshadow blanks, but I have built a couple using Batson blanks. Same company-different brand. Either way, good luck. I hope you can get it replaced.

What do you think of the Rainshadow blanks if you don't mind me asking, other than you have a broken one?  I may have to put one together and give it a try. I have been using a lot of the MHX blanks, and have no complaints, but it always good to expand your horizons.
