my third and final season starts thursday. got a big boss pattered, but who knows if he will be in the same place when i go for the kill, plus he has a bunch of hens so i gotta set up close

filled my 3rd and final tag yesterday

was headed home early but decided to check a spot along the way. walked in, struck a gobble with the first yelp and 15 minutes later season was over

likely 2 year old that had 9 inch beard, inch spurs and just under 20 pounds

Way to go !!! Great season illini...I just started with my bow..four youths and my brother have tagged out so far...now it's my turn. Saw four toms two jakes and eight hens today.The toms stayed out at 50 yards guarding two of the hens. Might try a new spot in the morning closer to work. Good luck to the rest of team #7 still hunting.

Thanks. .. it depends...usually I dont hunt evenings but if I do it's just for 2 or three hours.

In the mornings we try to sit till 10:00ish depending on the acion. Sometimes 8:30-9:00 This was my daughter's

first hunt. My son is eleven and has been out turkey hunting since he was four so he can sit

a little longer.

Nothing for me, but of course could have had one this morning with my car.

We hunted hard for several days with not much to show for it. Less gobbling than usual, the only Toms I saw within 100 yards my brother got a shot at but missed. Of course there were plenty of them showing up on the trail cameras after my season ended. I think I'm going to go back to hunting the last two seasons
