I Would appreciate recommendations on brand/make/model somthing around $ 1000 give or take few hundred. Thanks Jay
K_Josh87
Have you looked into a browning X bolt? I just picked one up in a 22-250 and it is a super smooth rifle, with an awesome trigger... not sure they have the caliber you are looking for though... K_Josh87
it appears the x bolt comes in a .338 win mag.... and a .300 win mag, but not a .300 win short mag... i'm not up on these sizes of calibers much, actually just picked up a old 1965 model 70 in a 300 win mag from a friend tonight to try to tune a load up for... kind of excited to get to know this cartridge again... I to like to change it up once in a while... just sold a .243 to go to a 22-250 just basically to try something new for my predator rifle... I love this x bolt though I highly doubt it will ever leave my ownership... and I will own another one or more in a large caliber some day... TattooedHunter
Savage has both those calibers. I have a synthetic stocked model 11 in 300wsm and a walnut stocked model 14 in 308win. both are excellent shooters.
