Downsizing from an 8 inch to 6 inch for Strikemaster.

I have a Solo Pro, will the 6 inch Laser bit get stuck right before breaking through the ice? My 8 does that every now and then. I am trying to decide if it is worth it to purchase a 6 inch bit for my Strikemaster as I fish for mostly panfish.

My 6" never did the yank you down thing but I always feather it through the very last part of the ice. It drills fast ill say that! 6" hole is perfect for panfishing and punching a lot of holes.

Im a big 6" guy....wait wait ONLY when it comes to my auger. Ice auger that is.

I fish Walleye for the most part and wouldnt consider going back to anything bigger. I just dont see the need for a bigger hole.

i have the same unit and i would like to see how fast that solo can rip with a 6" i know with an 8 inch lazer drill, i can cut 2 holes to 1 against almost every other auger.
