Pulled a "Homer Simpson" DOH! Sunday when I left home to go Ice Fishing with the Auger still in the Garage... I was 20 mins away on the lake before I realized it. Anyway I resigned myself to searching for some open holes as it was nice out and lots of guys fish the lake I was at. So I found a line of test holes running right through the area I wanted to try. I dropped the Vex down several and decided on the one that looked the most promising. A neighbor saw this and offered to let me use his auger after hearing my goof in forgetting the auger. He let me punch 5 holes next to the test holes so I can move around with my otter and have 2 holes in each one. I just wanted to say thanks again publicly to the guy with the Chevy Silverado and the MAko auger. I will be paying it forward...

95% plus outdoorsman are just like that guy because most people are good people and we've all "been there."

I'd bet you thanked him more than he wanted you to and at the end of the day he completely forgot about the gesture he extended to you. Good for both of you.
