Strikemaster gets stuck before breaking ice. Tips on what to do?

Strikemaster Solo engine tends to get stuck in the ice right before it breaks through the ice. Is this typically normal? How do you take it out or loosen it enough to come out after it is stuck in the ice?

Ice was only 17 inches thick and it got stuck .... SMH. I did lift up to clear my ice hole and still got stuck.

My best guess is that the pitch is off. This happened with one of mine as well.

Check the bolts on the blades. Make sure they are tight. Then hold that bad boy wide open when drilling the holes all the way through. May have to fight the urge to hold back but it will make a difference.

Had the same thing happen to me when I got mine 3 years ago called strike master and explained everything and how I drilled and he told me to do those two things. Never an issue since.

Giv-r-nuts at the end, don't let up. It should bust right through there.
