GSPMark
So who has had luck in negoiating a lower price on their ice house. There has got to be some room in those prices I see posted on their sites. Especially now that we are getting close to half way point for the season. redneckdan
All a matter of need. Is their need to sell it greater than your need to buy it? If so, you may get a break. Otherwise you don't have a leg to stand on.You would be surprised how slim the margins are in a sporting goods business. I ran a small fly shop out of my apartment in college to help make ends meet, mainly tying but some retail too. One of the rods I dealt with had a 40% over cost msrp. By the time costs were deducted the actual margin was very small. If you are talking about a local shop, does your desire for a deal out weigh your desire to have a local shop to go to? Because if they don't stay in the black, they won't exist for long.Just some info from the other side of the sales counter...
B-man715
They aren't selling them for fun. Of course there is some wiggle room on the newest model years in stock. If there wasn't how can some sell a shack at the show with a "Free Honda generator"......
springermnguy26
If your looking for an Ice castle I believe I read something about milaca unclaimed freight is the only dealer allowed to sell them below msrp because they came up with the idea of a wheelhouse and approached what is now ice castle to build them. Tom7227
I heard recently that the backlog at the factory is huge. If they can't build them fast enough to meet the demand what motivation do they have to sell them cheaper?
Gus
you'll have to wait for summer or even next fall and look for carry over model years. The demand for wheel houses quite high.
