Enclosed BowGun Stand

It would be difficult to have the openings to shoot a bow from an enclosed stand. It would also have to be pretty big to allow you to draw inside. I could see making parts of it removable to accommodate a bow and then put the panels back in to close it up when gun hunting.

I like Leech's best. smile But I made this one this year and it worked well for me in some pretty cold temps with a Mr. Buddy Heater at my feet.

I think the key to using a popup blind like this one is not going too high with the platform and trying to keep it a minimum of 15 yards from the major trails. I missed my deer this year at 5 yards and then got it at 30. Hadn't expected it that close. shocked

They also sell pop ups with floor to ceiling windows for this very such use. I had also considered buying one of those Maverick blinds to bolt on top of the platform next year. They sort of look like a calf house with windows all the way around. Again, I think the key is having windows that go floor to ceiling almost or considering the shot angles carefully on the main trails. If you are going to make your own, look up Shadow Hunters blinds on the web. Those might give you some good ideas on blinds for gun/bow.

Good luck!
