Perch and Walleyes

Sometimes I'll find perch in the 'eyes, but strangely enough, I've found bigger crappies mingling in the 'eyes more often than perch. However, I use basically the same baits for both, just downsizing the lure for perch. I have better luck with spoons than jigs with 'eyes and two that I recommend using are Clam's Blade Spoon and the Lindy Rattlin Flyer spoon in red or perch colors. For perch, the Clam Ant Drop has been dynamite since I used it last season, but I also use the Lindy Fat Toad and Fat Boy jigs to good effect. As far as spoons go, can't go wrong with Hali's or Clam Speed Spoons as well as Northland puppet minnows.

Some people say where perch are walleyes are. Is that true in most cases? What spoons, raps, and jigs does everyone use for perch and wallaye during Eary ice, Peak ice and late ice? Just wanna her what others use. Thanks!

It can happen. Smaller perch are food for walleye. So you are going to see a few eye's around the perch. However, it seems to be more an occational thing. I've seen plenty of walleye and pike chasing perch with the camera.
