Went to work on it. Jacked up the track and ran it at high rpms. Killed it and pulled the plugs. When I pulled the plugs the right cylinder if looking at the sled from the front was smoking a lot and the left wasn't. Also. One plug wet. plug dry. Any thoughts? I have the night to work on it

I'm going to test compression tomorrow. But should I be taking this panel off? I've only taken the top and bottom off. I'm not sure how to ad a pic so I'll try my best.

I can't figure it out from my phone. anyways its the panel that goes to the air box. Its 4 screws but they are all super tight. I can't break them loose. Just wondering if its worth the effort.

Couple things..one isnt your problem but you should check it. When you clean your exhaust valves take them all apart and replace the rubber belows on them. you will need to heat up the aluminum nut under the plastic cap to get the belows off. There is usually a massive amount of gunk and sludge build up under there and you may have a torn bellows as well. #2) Fuel pump is probably weak or not working. If it's the original, it has had a whole truck load of todays wonderful gas run through it and the diaphram etc could be cracked/torn etc. Also check your impulse line from the crank case to the fuel pump. All it takes is a small crack or rub hole through the impulse line. The 420's are the right jets. You have something definitly wrong but dont go changing a bunch of stuff to cover or remedy. Those sleds ran like a top in stock trim so if it's not, you have some component that is failed or failing. Keep it stock for reliability!

I'll check the fuel pump tomorrow. Just drained all the gas thinking maybe some water or something in it and I did a compression test and one cylinder had 100 dry 125 with oil in it. The other had about 110 dry and 115 with oil.

Huuum, seems a little odd that one would start lower dry and end higher with oil then the one that started higher dry? One went up 25 and the other only 5?
