NEANGLER Posted November 18, 2014 Share Posted November 18, 2014 This is what we do for turkey and works out great1 cup of salt1cup of brown sugar2 oranges quartered2 lemons quartered6 sprigs of thyme or 2 Tablespoons dried thyme leaves4 sprigs of Rosemary or 2 tablespoons dried rosemary leaves2 gallons of cold waterPut into a large stock pot, bucket, etc to hold turkey/brine. Mix salt and brown sugar w cold water until dissolved, add squeezed oranges/lemons and thyme and Rosemary. Let sit in frig (or this time of year in your garage) covered for 24 hours.
