zipper broke

knoppers

Question

I have a very nice snowmobiling/ice fishing parka, the handle on the zipper broke off... the slide broke, not the handle, so I need to replace the slide. is there anything that I can buy to fix this, or do I have to take this to someone to fix?

I brought one of mine into one of the sewing shops and the little old lady had it fixed in like 5min's for about $12. She more or less did what ST had said. She pulled the stop off with a pliers and then crimped a new one back on with a new zipper. It's still working 3 years later. wink

thanks for the help, I was able to fix it myself, by taking a zipper off a old jacket. I just removed the stop, pulled off the bad slide, then slide on the new slide. I was all happy, until I decided to take the new truck for a spin, and put a large dent in the rear bumper. mad now I am looking at what that will cost.
